Vice President of Distribution

Vice President of Distribution Dallas, TX | $205,000 — $260,000/year | Full-time, On-site The Role We’re looking for a strategic operations executive to lead distribution across multiple sites, with full P&L ownership and a mandate to drive operational excellence, safety, and growth. This person will set the strategic direction for the network, build and develop a strong leadership bench, and partner closely with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to advance company-wide priorities. What You’ll Own Leadership — Manage a team of Distribution Center General Managers and senior leaders; build a high-performance, accountable culture and strong succession pipeline Strategy & Planning — Drive annual planning, set direction for operational excellence, and own long-term/short-term execution Operational Performance — Improve productivity, cost-per-case, pick accuracy, and delivery performance across all facilities Continuous Improvement — Lead Lean and automation initiatives to boost efficiency and service levels Safety & Compliance — Champion a safety-first culture; ensure DOT, OSHA, and regulatory compliance across the network Vendor Management — Manage relationships and negotiations with 3PL, transportation, and supply partners Cross-Functional Partnership — Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to support business growth What You Bring 10+ years of progressive leadership in warehouse or distribution operations, including 5+ years at a senior multi-site level Demonstrated P&L ownership and strong financial acumen Experience in 3PL, contract warehousing, or transportation preferred Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred Proven ability to lead both union and non-union frontline teams Strong track record in continuous improvement, change management, and technology adoption Success Looks Like Improved warehouse profitability and EBITDA, higher labor productivity, fewer safety incidents, stronger inventory accuracy, and scalable operational frameworks to support growth. Reporting & Travel Reports to the CEO, with Regional Directors of Operations, Warehouse Managers, and Continuous Improvement Leaders reporting in. Requires 40–60% travel to sites and customer locations; local/commutable candidates only, no relocation.
