Portfolio Implementation Associate

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth team at Mercer , a Marsh business. This role will be based in Boston and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. As a Portfolio Implementation Associate , you will take direct responsibility for discretionary client and investment product implementations, collaborating closely with sales, investment consulting, client office, operations, and portfolio management teams. You’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional client service and facilitating seamless communication across internal and external teams. We will count on you to: Develop strong relationships with both internal and external parties, and work across team boundaries to deliver results on key department and business initiatives Service clients to the highest standard and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism at all times Assist with the development and maintenance of detailed project plans for each implementation Assist with the legal review process between the client and internal Mercer Legal to ensure that agreements are negotiated timely Work with operational stakeholders to ensure that all client setup requirements are considered and executed timely Ensure that all new client onboarding compliance requirements are met Implements appropriate risk controls and procedures and ensures adherence to these procedures and controls Ensure that incoming work is handled effectively, promptly, and accurately so that the needs of internal and external customers are consistently met and exceeded Investigate and resolve queries received from internal and external customers Maintain a strong risk awareness mindset while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field of study 1-6 years of experience in Client Service, Portfolio Operations, Fund Accounting and/or Custodial oversight, with progressive increase in responsibilities Strong analytical and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task Clear and effective communication (both verbal and written) while engaging directly with clients Proficiency in Microsoft Office General experience with client relationship management systems, and databases is advantageous What makes you stand out?
