Dietary Cook

This role will work 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., including weekends based on business needs, with a schedule of two to three shifts each week. We are very flexible on the schedule.

As a Dietary Cook, you will:

• Prepare and cook meals according to written menus and recipes
• Serve appropriate portions and ensure meals are ready at scheduled times
• Follow patient-specific dietary requirements and approved substitutions
• Use proper food safety, sanitation, and storage practices
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Clean cooking equipment, preparation areas, dish room, and dining areas
• Work closely with the Dietary team to make sure patients receive the correct meals
• Jump in and help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous cooking or food preparation experience
• Is comfortable following recipes, menus, measurements, and portion guidelines
• Understands the importance of food safety and sanitation
• Is dependable and able to consistently work the required weekend schedule
• Works well as part of a team
• Can stay organized and keep meals on schedule
• Is comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 pounds

Experience in a hospital, senior living, skilled nursing, school, institutional kitchen, or other high-volume food service environment is a plus.
