Description: Department: Occupational Therapy
Number of patients treated per day is 6-8. This is dependent upon the overall caseload of the department. Unit staffing consists of 3 PTs, 1 PTA, 1 COTA, 1 OT, and 1 SLP. Common diagnoses include post-surgical patients, orthopedics (total joints, ORIF), neurological conditions (post-stroke, Parkinson's, MS), sports medicine, and complex medical cases. Work will involve both outpatient and inpatient settings, including swing bed, assisted living, and skilled nursing. May be asked to float between outpatient and inpatient settings, with a majority of time spent in skilled nursing. Experience should include working with patients from immediately post-op to 1-2 months post-op. The schedule will be managed by the Director of Rehabilitation and Office Assistant, with no self-scheduling allowed. Five 8-hour shifts will be required, with flexible start times between 0700-0900. Occasional weekend work may be required, though it is rare. No holiday work is expected. May be requested to float between facilities. The dress code is any color scrubs or business casual. Orientation typically lasts 1 week, with expectation to work a full patient load by week 2. The expected productivity rate is 75%. A radius rule of 30 miles applies.
