We are seeking a skilled Machinist with experience operating CNC mills and lathes , as well as manual machine tools . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from prints, setting up jobs, holding tight tolerances, and producing quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports both production and short-run / repair work.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Operate manual mills, manual lathes, drill presses, band saws, and precision grinding equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Select proper tooling, fixtures, and measuring equipment
• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, etc.)
• Make basic program edits at the machine as needed (offsets, wear, minor changes)
• Maintain part quality and meet production requirements
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Communicate issues related to tooling, materials, or machine performance to supervision

Required Qualifications

• Experience running CNC milling and turning equipment
• Experience operating manual mills and lathes
• Ability to hold close tolerances and perform precision work
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals (feeds, speeds, tooling, materials)
• Ability to read blueprints and use standard inspection tools
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC setup experience
• Experience with short-run or job shop work
• Experience with precision grinding (surface or cylindrical)
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
