Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position with 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

We are seeking a skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse with a strong background in neurocritical care. The role requires managing patients in a comprehensive stroke center, focusing on critical neurological conditions such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and post-operative neurosurgery care.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized nursing care for neurocritical patients, including monitoring and management of neurological assessments.
• Administering medications and blood products, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety.
• Performing advanced medical procedures including central line care, ICP monitoring, and management of external ventricular drains.
• Utilizing isolation precautions and proper PPE for patient care.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to patients.

Required experience/certifications/licensure include:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro ICU setting, demonstrating strong critical care skills.
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications are required.
• Completion of EKG testing prior to start is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of neurocritical care practices and patient management protocols.

Position available in North Carolina.
