Michigan OB/GYN locums centered on true 24 hour in house call with dedicated overnight midwife coverage, built around predictable shift blocks that fit cleanly into your monthly schedule.

Highlights

• 24 hour in house call with call rooms available, you stay on the hospital floor for the full shift
• Nightly L&D coverage by midwives and 3 PAs, they work independently and only pull you in when needed
• EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation for efficient documentation
• Credentialing typically runs about 30 days, applications are prioritized by start timing

Practice Setting

• Inpatient OB/GYN service with labor and delivery triage and emergency department GYN consults
• Adult and adolescent female patients across the OB/GYN spectrum, plus newborn circumcisions
• Team based model on L&D, midwives on the floor overnight and no requirement to supervise APPs
• Case flow driven by triage, ED consults, and active labor and delivery traffic

Schedule

• 24 hour call shifts running 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Multiple single day needs across early summer through late summer, ideal for stacking shifts or filling gaps
• Primary call is in house for the full shift
• Secondary call can be taken from the hotel with a required morning check in at 7:00 AM

Cases and Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Reading NSTs
• D&C and emergency GYN surgeries
• Tubal ligations, laparoscopy, and laparotomy
• Circumcisions are preferred but not required

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Michigan medical license preferred, will wait for license with an active IMLC LOQ only, open to IMLC Physicians
• Comfort with inpatient OB/GYN, L&D triage, and ED GYN consults
