Gateway Internship Program

Internships at Gateway are designed to provide the intern with practical industry training and real-project exposure through experiential learning. Freshman level Interns spend their time primarily in developmental training sessions, and supplement training with participation on real project teams to gain a contextual understanding of Gateway's practice areas and how they are integrated to develop and deliver solutions to our clients.

Internship candidates must have successfully completed their freshman year of university/college studies and are returning to school for their sophomore year to qualify for this internship. Possess and provide self-transportation to/from Gateway office and required local project sites. Demonstrate the desire to grow personally and professionally.

Developmental Training:

• Environmental Health & Safety training with tiered certification
• Design Technology training
• Site Design training
• Plan/Spec Overview
• Client project site visits

The ideal intern candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Demonstrate strong and confident communication skills
• A commitment to lifelong learning and improvement
• Be coachable
• Exhibit organization skills
• The ability to efficiently manage his/her time
• Critical thinking
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
