Work Location: FRCASE NBC, EL CEN & SOLM Function:
Produce replacement and new precision metal parts used in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Read and analyze blueprints, sketches, technical drawings, CAD files, schematics, and manufacturing files to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences. Set up, align, and secure workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools while operating conventional and CNC lathes, mills, and grinders to machine raw materials into finished components. Utilize 3D printing technology to manufacture prototypes, replacement parts, and production components as required. Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify compliance with specifications and tight tolerances. Monitor machine performance, adjust feeds and speeds, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform routine machine maintenance to ensure quality, efficiency, and safe operation. Required Experience:
At a minimum of two (2) years of experience interpreting blueprints, sketches, CAD files, technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing files to produce precision metal parts and components. Experience operating conventional and CNC machining equipment, performing quality inspections using precision measuring instruments, and working with 3D printing technologies is required. Required Education:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
