Tax Manager / Senior Tax Leader (HNW Individuals)

Location: Chicago (Loop) | Hybrid (1-2 days onsite)

Join a rapidly scaling, privately held tax and advisory platform focused on high-net-worth individuals. This is a growth hire driven by strong inbound demand-not business development. You'll step into complex, high-impact work with a clear path to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex HNW/UHNW individual tax returns
  
• Oversee staff while remaining hands-on in execution
  
• Support onboarding of new clients from an active referral pipeline
  
• Advise on tax strategy, planning, and optimization
  
• Navigate complex structures (multi-entity ownership, significant assets, high-judgment scenarios)
  
• Partner cross-functionally to improve workflows and delivery
  

Qualifications

• HNW/UHNW individual tax experience (beyond standard 1040 compliance)
  
• Proven ability to both prepare and review complex returns
  
• Experience with multi-entity structures and planning strategies
  
• Broad tax exposure (1040, 1065/1120, trust, gift)
  
• Public accounting background preferred (Big 4 + PCS / family office ideal)
  
• Comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  
• CPA required
