Position Summary


The Senior Web Application Developer will provide technical leadership for the architecture, design, development, integration, and delivery of full-stack web applications. The position requires extensive experience with .NET/C#, modern JavaScript frameworks, cloud-native architectures, APIs, databases, and AI-enabled application capabilities.


The developer will work directly with technical and business stakeholders, translate requirements into scalable application designs, lead technical discussions, and support development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.


Technical Responsibilities

Full-Stack Architecture and Development

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of full-stack web applications.
• Develop backend services and application components using .NET and C#.
• Develop and integrate frontend applications using React, Angular, Vue.js, or comparable JavaScript frameworks.
• Work with Node.js, Python, or other web application technologies as required by the application architecture.
• Design scalable application architectures using microservices and serverless patterns.
• Define and apply architectural patterns, coding standards, and software engineering practices.
• Conduct code reviews and support technical decision-making across the development lifecycle.

API and Integration Development

• Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs.
• Define API contracts, versioning strategies, integration patterns, and performance requirements.
• Support interoperability and data exchange between applications and external systems.
• Troubleshoot application, API, integration, and performance issues.
• Optimize application services for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Database Development

• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries.
• Create and maintain stored procedures, triggers, functions, and other database objects.
• Support application development using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Analyze database performance and optimize queries and data-access patterns.

AI and Machine Learning Integration

• Design and implement AI-enabled application capabilities.
• Integrate applications with large language models and AI APIs, including Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or comparable platforms.
• Develop intelligent application functionality such as search, summarization, recommendation, and automated workflows.
• Implement data-driven application features.
• Evaluate application use cases where AI capabilities may improve user experience, decision-making, or operational processes.
• Apply data privacy, governance, security, and model-evaluation requirements to AI-enabled functionality.

Cloud and DevSecOps

• Architect and deploy applications in AWS and Azure environments.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using serverless and containerized services.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply DevSecOps practices throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Optimize cloud applications for scalability, reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Apply secure application-development and cloud-security practices.

Quality, Security, and Performance

• Develop reliable, maintainable, and testable software.
• Ensure applications comply with coding, performance, quality, and security standards.
• Implement testing strategies and application-performance monitoring.
• Identify and resolve defects, technical risks, and performance issues.
• Improve application resilience, scalability, and maintainability.
• Apply secure API design and application-security practices.

Technical Leadership and Client Engagemen t

• Serve as a technical interface between engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation approaches.
• Lead architecture discussions, solution-design sessions, and technical briefings.
• Provide technical guidance regarding web application architecture, cloud adoption, and AI integration.
• Mentor developers working across multiple application technologies.
• Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical evaluations.

User Interface Development

• Collaborate with UI/UX resources to develop responsive, accessible, and user-focused applications.
• Apply modern frontend architecture and performance-optimization techniques.
• Support consistent integration between frontend applications, APIs, and backend services.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in full-stack web application development.
• Strong professional experience with .NET and C#.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with additional web technologies such as Node.js, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Strong hands-on T-SQL experience, including:
  • Query development and optimization
  • Stored procedures
  • Triggers
  • Functions
  • Database objects
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native application architectures.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with serverless architectures.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience integrating or developing AI or machine-learning capabilities.
• Experience working with AI APIs such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or comparable services.
• Experience developing maintainable, tested, secure, and performance-oriented applications.
• Experience conducting code reviews and troubleshooting application issues.
• Experience leading technical teams or providing technical direction.
• Experience engaging directly with clients and technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of secure application development and cloud-security practices.
• Strong technical communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS, Azure, or AI/ML-related certifications.
• Experience implementing generative AI capabilities in production applications.
• Experience using Python for AI or machine-learning workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and automation tools.
• Previous client-facing technical leadership experience in complex or mission-driven environments.
