LEAD BARTENDER — Westside Gastropub, Santa Monica
A gastropub on the Westside is looking for a lead bartender to build and run the bar program. This isn't a job — it's an opportunity to be the bartender who built the cocktail program at one of the most exciting new concepts in LA.
Two bars. 180 seats. Two patios. Full liquor license. A craft cocktail program being built from scratch. Unique beer program. Late-night bar service Thursday through Saturday. A neighborhood with 1,250 new apartments delivering within walking distance over the next 18 months. This bar is about to get very busy.
What you'd do:
Run the bar during service across indoor and patio bars. Develop and test cocktails alongside ownership. Manage ordering, inventory, and pour cost. Train and oversee bartenders. Be the senior person in the building on nights ownership isn't present.
Who you are:
3+ years behind a craft cocktail bar at a restaurant. You understand spirits, can build a balanced drink, and can talk a guest through a menu. You've managed inventory and pour cost. You're fast, clean, and calm when it's three deep on a Friday. You help build the crowd as you build the bar - we're a neighborhood place as well!
