Research Teaching Specialist VRutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V within the section of Pediatric Population Science at the Rutgers Cancer Institute, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the purpose of the Research Teaching Specialist V position is to engage in research lab activities. The Research Teaching Specialist V will support highly specialized and technical research within the lab.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Participates in aspects of research and ensures compliance with study protocols.Monitors progress of projects.Reports to the Principal Investigator on project progress, problems, and the need for adjustments.Supports recruitment, screening, enrollment, and consenting of participants for studies per project timelines.Ensures participant completion of study activities per protocol.Maintains study recruitment, accrual, and participation documents.Assists with creating surveys using survey software programs as directed.Engages in data collection, including conducting semi-structured qualitative interviews and administering surveys per study protocol.Supports study data entry, data management, preliminary data screening, and data cleaning throughout the project, as assigned.Provides support in other data processing and analysis.Prepares reports containing findings, analysis, conclusion and recommendations (i.e., grants, summaries, etc.), as requested.Enhances recruitment and data collection efforts given participants' busy schedules, research activities may require flexible (i.e., evening or weekend) activities on occasion per project demands.Assists with progress reports, administrative, regulatory, and study accrual/progress updates for all assigned studies.Drafts materials for IRB submissions and renewals.Supports targeted literature searches.Helps maintain the lab website.Provides support in the preparation of presentations and assists in the preparation of manuscripts and grants.FLSA - ExemptGrade - 17SSalary DetailsMinimum Salary - 49883.000Mid Range Salary - 59362.000Maximum Salary - 69920.000Benefits - Rutgers provides a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.
