Job Summary:
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse in en_US The organization is seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role involves assessing, monitoring, and managing patient recovery, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the post-anesthesia phase. The nurse will work collaboratively within the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing; current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association; additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, PALS may be required depending on the unit or service.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
• Additional Information: The PACU nurse will perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care; performing health teaching and counseling; executing delegated medical functions; monitoring therapy and treatment plans; documenting in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines; and using available resources. The position may require floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs and may include being on-call during scheduled shifts.
