Counsel -- Global Commercial Operations
Amgen Inc
Counsel needed to provide legal guidance on commercial operations for biopharmaceutical products, including anti-fraud compliance, patient support programs, and promotional materials review. Requires J.D. or LL.M. with admission to practice and two years' legal experience; healthcare law background preferred. Based in Thousand Oaks, California.
Responsibilities
- Counsel on fraud and abuse matters involving healthcare stakeholders and Federal Anti-Kickback Statute compliance
- Evaluate patient support programs and marketing materials for legal and regulatory risk
- Advise stakeholders on legal, regulatory, and policy developments affecting commercial activities
- Guide sales and marketing strategies and government healthcare program issues
- Coordinate cross-functional legal support with business and legal colleagues
Requirements
- J.D. or LL.M. from accredited law school and U.S. bar admission
- Minimum two years of law practice experience
- Healthcare law expertise including Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act
- Superior legal writing, oral communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced environments
- Strong client service and business counseling orientation
