After School/Extended Day Program

Overview Visitation School is seeking a part-time employee in our After-school Extended Day program. This is a 12-month position, including summer, with hours from approximately 2:30pm to 6:00pm on school days, and shifts on non-school days (i.e., holiday breaks, teacher in-service days, and during the summer). This position could also be open for short-call substitute employees as well. Visitation is an independent Catholic day school with a culture permeated by Salesian Spirituality. We offer a unique combination of learning experiences with a co-ed Lower School (Montessori preschool through grade 5), an all-girls Middle School (grades 6-8), and an all-girls Upper School (grades 9-12). Qualifications / Ideal Candidate Is a lifelong learner who is enthusiastic about the educational experiences of children during the out-of-school-time hours. Has demonstrated success in working with early childhood PreK and elementary age students as a teacher, instructor, camp counselor, or after-school staff member. Enjoys and has demonstrated success working with students, families, and colleagues in an educational environment. Has a strong desire to contribute actively to a community where students are known, loved, and challenged, and is excited to embrace the Visitation mission. Able to demonstrate and model the philosophies and spirit of Visitation School. Preference will be given to candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree, Montessori training, and previous experience in an educational or camp setting.
