The Certified Medical Assistant will support physicians and nurse practitioners in an interventional pain management setting, providing balanced clinical and administrative support to adult and geriatric patients. The role includes patient intake, clinical assistance, electronic records management, scheduling, and opportunities for cross-training in specialty services and expanded clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake and obtain vital signs.
• Collect and document medical histories.
• Perform medication reconciliation.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with clinical procedures.
• Collect patient specimens according to clinical protocols.
• Schedule patient appointments and respond to phone calls.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper medical records.
• Support patient transport and other clinical and administrative needs.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in clinical medical assisting.
• High school diploma.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• Proficiency in vital signs measurement and electronic health records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
• Strong patient communication and team collaboration skills.

Skills

The following skills are preferred but not required:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of EMR system EclinicalWorks
• Phlebotomy
