Order Picker

Order Picker (Open)Under close supervision, performs routine logistics operations activities, including: moving and storing materials/products using a combination of manual labor and low complexity machinery/equipment (e.g., forklifts and conveyors); receiving/inspecting goods and verifying items against the shipment record; gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method; and/or recording received and shipped items.1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm Monday to FridayKey ResponsibilitiesAbility to operate a sit-down forklift.Receive and track shipments.Able to work in labor-intensive position that includes lifting, standing, bending, twisting, and stooping for 8 hours a day.Load or unload shipments in delivery trucks.Physically able to lift 30 lbs. repetitively, 50 lbs. occasionally, 100 lbs. with assistance.Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.Ability to use hand tools including strappers, banders and shrink wrap equipment.Label and stockpile shipments according to size, shape, and type.Ability to read and interpret work orders to ensure customer requirements are met.Promotes clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items.Completes reports by entering required information.Routine quality checks on finished products.Provides quality service by following organization standards.Follow safety regulations.Other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceTypically possesses less than 2 years of relevant experience.Knowledge and SkillsGood physical stamina and manual dexterity.Ability to work with a team in a fast pace environment.Good organizational and time-management skills.Great interpersonal and communication skills.Solution oriented problem solver.Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $19.33 - $30.87 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
