Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise in inspection procedures will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our operations. You will work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Inspection and Verification: Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts and other finished goods, verifying conformance to customer specifications and quality standards. Utilize the AQL sampling plan outlined in ANSI/ASQ Z1.4.Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately document inspection results, testing data, and non-conformances in accordance with ISO standards and Xometry's quality management system. Maintain organized and controlled electronic records.Procedure Development: Contribute to the development, revision, and maintenance of inspection procedures and work instructions.Calibration and Maintenance: Coordinate the calibration of measurement and test equipment.Quality Investigations: Assist in customer complaint investigations and quality system audits, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and customer support teams to address quality issues and ensure seamless communication.Compliance and Safety: Perform all duties in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies, and procedures.Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to improve inspection processes and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the quality department.Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of hands-on inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.Strong ability to use standard measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.Experience with PC-DMIS and CMM operation is highly desirable.Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is a plus.Proficiency with CAD software, especially SolidWorks, and the ability to generate drawings is a significant advantage.Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to quality.Strong math and clerical skills.Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated and eager to learn.The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $58,000 - $76,000 annually depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
