Sales Manager - Soft Drink

About Us: Bernick's is a 5th generation family-owned provider of beverages, vending and food solutions, representing leading brands such as Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Miller Brewing Company and New England Coffee. We service locations in greater MN and western WI.

Job Summary: The Soft Drink Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to drive volume growth, market share, and customer satisfaction across assigned territories and accounts. This role oversees sales execution, customer relationships, pricing and promotional strategies, and team performance while ensuring alignment with company goals and supplier expectations. The Sales Manager collaborates closely with operations, merchandising, and leadership teams to deliver exceptional service and profitable growth.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve sales goals and performance expectations
Drive sales growth through effective execution of pricing, promotions, displays, and product placement strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers, key accounts, and supplier partners
Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and improve results
Conduct regular market visits, ride-alongs, and account reviews to support team development and execution standards
Monitor territory performance and ensure achievement of volume, revenue, and profitability targets
Partner with merchandising, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure high levels of customer service and product availability
Assist with annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and sales strategy development

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
Previous beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or route sales experience preferred
Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
Ability to analyze data and make strategic business decisions
Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift, move, and transport products weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally
