• Position: Locum Tenens Cardiac Anesthesiologist / Anesthesia Physician
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $13,210 - $13,920
• Location: Miami, FL 33133 (Miami healthcare jobs, Florida locum tenens)
• Setting: Cardiac Anesthesia Unit (perioperative cardiac care)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel assignment)
• Duration: 13 weeks (April 9, 2026 - July 9, 2026)
• Schedule: Mon-Fri; shifts 7a-3p, 7a-5p, or 7a-7p per leaving order; rotating weekends and on-call shifts required
• Hours per Week: 40 (minimum 20 shifts per month)

• Active Florida medical license OR eligibility with proof of application for FL compact license (required for locum tenens)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (Cardiac anesthesia experience required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and DEA
• Must provide 24 months of case logs within 5 days of credentialing approval
• At least 1 year of recent anesthesia experience (cardiac/perioperative preferred)
• 100% clean background (no clinical, legal, or pending cases)
• Must be available to work every week of the assignment
• Travel assignment requirement: must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility and outside Broward, Palm Beach, and Dade counties
• Copy of driver's license required at presentation

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for cardiac procedures (CABG, valve surgery, TAVR, Mitraclip, LAA ligation, EP) and a broad mix of cases including general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, urology, GI, cath lab, CVL, endoscopy, ENT, and spine
• Participate in cardiac anesthesia model: approximately 70% independent cases and 30% supervised cases
• Deliver perioperative anesthesia management, hemodynamic monitoring, transesophageal echocardiography support (if applicable), and advanced cardiac perioperative care
• Rotate through day, weekend, and on-call shifts as scheduled to support continuous patient care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team (surgeons, cardiologists, perfusionists, nursing) to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Medaxion EMR and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements
