LPN Position at Lawrence County Memorial HospitalWe are seeking a PRN LPN to join our healthcare team. An LPN at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital is a vital member of the patient care team. They work under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians to provide direct patient care, monitor health conditions, and support patients and families throughout their hospital stay.ResponsibilitiesPatient CareAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedMonitor and record vital signs and symptomsAssist with diagnostic tests and proceduresProvide wound care and dressing changesCommunication & CoordinationCollaborate with RNs and physicians to develop care plansCommunicate changes in patient condition to the healthcare teamEducate patients and families on care procedures and post-discharge instructions.DocumentationMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical recordsDocument interventions and patient progressSafety and ComplianceFollow infection control protocolsEnsure cleanliness and organization of patient areasAdhere to hospital policies and legal regulationsProfessional DevelopmentParticipate in ongoing training and competency evaluationsContribute to process improvement initiativesPosition Skills & QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must clearly demonstrate all required competencies. The education/experience, certifications, skills, physical demands, and work environment described below further define requirements associated with this position. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills required. Strong relationship and communication with physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical leaders required. Continual industry and job specific education required.Education/ExperienceCompletion of an accredited LPN programCurrent LPN licensure in the state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationClinical experience in a healthcare setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentOther RequirementsThe physical demands frequently requires to lift and carry up to 35 pounds manually. For anything heavier, a mechanical lift or assistance from other staff is expected.Work EnvironmentThere are mental and emotional requirements for all positions working in a health care setting due to the nature of the services provided. The requirements include handling multiple priorities, making decisions under pressure, working near others and/or in a distracted environment, managing anger/fear/hostility, managing stress appropriately, working with others effectively, and working alone effectively.Travel & TelecommutingSome travel outside the hospital environment may be required periodically. Some telecommuting and remote work times will be permitted at the approval and coordination with LCMH senior leadership.Salary & Benefits$20.00 - 25.00 per hour plus shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends, where applicable.The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position.
