Employee Type Non Exempt FT Job Title: Clinical Assistant Supervisors: Director of Clinical Services, Home Care Director and Social Work Supervisor Positions Supervised: None FLSA Status: Non-exempt / full-time Job Summary Provides clerical support to PACE of the Triad’s Home Care Program and Social Work Department. The Clinical Assistant uses discretion to complete responsibilities in a timely, confidential and appropriate manner. Responsibilities include general office duties such as assisting with form preparation, document scanning, and signature acquisition. The Clinical Assistant also maintains contact lists for commonly used resources and contracted agencies, and provides exceptional customer service to participants/families, vendors and PACE staff. This position also performs receptionist coverage as needed. Requirements Specifications Education and Special Training: High school graduate or equivalent. Administrative assistant experience or customer service experience. Experience: At least 1 year of customer service and/or administrative experience; must be skilled at navigating an electronic medical record and technology platforms. 5 years of CNA or CMA experience preferred. Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid NC driver’s license and vehicle. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PACE of Guilford and Rockingham Counties and approved by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid before working independently. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. Computer skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Data entry). Standard office equipment operation. Must possess excellent verbal communication skills for telephone and interpersonal interaction. Ability to establish priorities and handle workflow with frequent interruptions. Ability to work independently. Flexible and able to work well with others. Ability to represent the organization professionally. With or without reasonable accommodations must have the ability to: bend and/or stoop frequently; have independent mobility in order to climb stairs and walk distances; lift and carry pieces of durable medical equipment; read, write and speak in English; see medical records and various documents clearly; use various forms of communication including but not limited to telephone, computer, faxes etc.; perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Summary Key Responsibilities Works effectively in a team setting. Communicates effectively with participants, families, staff, and other departments and agencies. Follow up with participants regarding reports, health-related matters, and other important matters to ensure continuity of care. Screen homecare plans to ensure completion. Ability to organize, prioritize and accomplish tasks in an orderly fashion. Facilitates achieving customer satisfaction and agency compliance by troubleshooting and helping to resolve concerns. Assists with coordination of Durable Medical Equipment by ordering special items and ensuring they have been delivered in a timely manner. Assists with office tasks and updating the Electronic Medical Record. Communicates any changes in participant condition to other team members. Works with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) on coordination of 24-hour care delivery. Assists with coverage of the front desk as assigned. Abides by all established policies, rules and regulations. Attends staff meetings. Other duties as assigned.
