Job Description

● Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to design, manufacture, and assemble prototypes of soft

wearable electronic devices

● Apply sound engineering and design principles for manufacturing of novel sensor integrations in wearable

electronics

● Communicate with vendors on DFM and Manufacturing of designs for prototype builds

● Collaborate with researchers and engineers to rapidly prototype hardware solutions, iterate, and run

experiments

Skills and Requirements

● BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

● 4+ years of experience in designing hardware prototypes, preferably in wearable consumer electronics, or

a similar field

● Knowledge of the design process for high-volume consumer products from concept to manufacturing

● Average or higher experience with CAD modeling [Siemens NX preferred]

● Physical prototyping experience

● Experience with FPC/PCB design

● Demonstrated experience with Design for injection molding and 3D printing ● Knowledge of Camera integration, Sensor Integration, Elastomer design, Haptic devices, or Textile

Manufacturing.

● Experience developing wearable consumer electronics

● Hands-on prototyping with molding and casting of elastomers or industrial processes such as Liquid

Injection Molding.

● Experience collaborating and communicating effectively on multi-disciplinary teams

● Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
