Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday–Sunday) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-volume Level I Trauma OR environment spanning 25 operating suites with 24/7 on-site coverage
• Support a broad range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, sports medicine, and robotic procedures
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in general, orthopedic (total joints), and neurosurgery cases — competency in all three areas is required
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including ROSA, Si and Xi da Vinci robots, Stealth, O-Arm, and HIPEC systems
• Serve a diverse patient population including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work one holiday per 13-week contract period as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Active surgical tech certification required: NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech certification accepted
• Active VA state license required ; candidates holding an out-of-state license must obtain a VA state license — a 90-day authorization will be required to work while the VA license is being processed
• Strong, demonstrated experience in general surgery, orthopedics (total joints), and neurosurgery — proficiency in all three specialties is required
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility (as determined by the address on their Driver's License) are considered local and are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with complex cases including large abdominal (big belly), craniotomy, and orthopedic trauma
• Robotic surgery training and experience highly preferred
• Familiarity with advanced surgical platforms such as da Vinci (Si/Xi), ROSA, O-Arm, Stealth, and HIPEC
