Job Requisition #:035773 Plant Manager (Open)Job Description:Summary: Manages the activities of teams associated with manufacturing, engineering, and production in a single plant including: Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Production Operations, Manufacturing Repair & Maintenance Operations, Manufacturing Production Planning & Control, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety. Manages multiple teams. Responsibilities typically include ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and operational management. Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8 to 10 or more years of relevant experience.Key ResponsibilitiesContinuously improves the plant's performance by implementing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and processes.Effectively implements new performance management systems, production plans and performance criteria; confirms production progress; responds to delays; takes corrective actions; records KPI performance.Creates and implements improvement plans for the overall operation.Ensures team understands roles and responsibilities as it relates to the team and Greif.Encourages joint problem solving and individual development.Supports Greif mission, follows values of Greif and works to better Greif’s business as a whole.Manages and maintains safety observances, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, administers discipline, insures positive colleague relations and reviews the performance of colleagues.Forecasts future production and facility needs and participates in the establishment of strategic business and project goals.Contributes in annual budget preparation. Controls expenditures in accordance with budget.Maintain close connection and contact with other departments.Performs other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceTypically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8 to10 or more years of relevant experience.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand production equipment, identify operational issues, and support troubleshooting efforts is highly preferred.Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of the plant's operation.Demonstrated leadership skills.Strong ability in problem solving and multi-tasking.Computer skills.Solid interpersonal skills.Organization skills.#LI-MK1At Greif, we believe that our colleagues are the center of our success. Compensation Range:The pay range for this position is $108,400.00 - $184,600.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between125,000.00 to145,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
