Step into a rewarding contract role providing impactful speech-language services to students during a 12-week maternity leave coverage. This assignment takes place in a supportive educational environment near Flat Rock, NC, beginning as soon as possible and concluding mid-May. Typical hours are 7:30 to 3:30, ideal for professionals seeking a daytime schedule that fits well with personal commitments.

Bring your expertise in speech-language therapy to preschoolers and students in self-contained classrooms. Your primary responsibilities will include providing both general and specialized speech/language services, conducting evaluations and screenings, and writing IEPs. Experience with Medicaid billing is valued, but not required, giving flexibility for the right candidate.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current North Carolina SLP licensure
• ASHA Certification
• Minimum of 2 years providing speech therapy, ideally in a school setting
• Experience with IEP documentation, evaluations, and screenings
• Knowledge of PK and self-contained classroom needs
• Medicaid billing experience is a plus
• SLPA applicants will also be considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload
• Conduct evaluations and screenings as needed
• Write and update IEPs to reflect student progress
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication goals
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation
