The Retina Group of Florida is a multi-physician, multi-office and growing ophthalmology practice specializing in diseases of the retina. We are currently seeking a full-time ophthalmic technician to join our team in our southern locations in Broward County. Job Description

The ideal candidate:

• Should possess excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills with compassion to patients.
• Should exhibit a professional demeanor and work well with others.
• Should exhibit flexibility and reliability. This position is full time and requires local area travel.
• Should possess the ability to learn new information and task, solve problems and multi-task.

Qualifications

• 1 year recent ophthalmic technician experience preferred.
• COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.
• Applicants with experience should be proficient in patient triage and work-up; including tonometry and assisting physicians with minor office procedures.
• Increased consideration given to applicants WITH experience in the areas of OCT, scribing and/or electronic medical records.
• Salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits available following probationary period.
