SAP ABAP Developer - Modern SAP Development

Salary: $77,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship.
• We must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust or other government security clearance, as needed.
• We need 3-5 years of SAP ABAP development experience for mid-level roles, or 6+ years for senior-level roles.
• We expect recent hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA development.
• We require experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• We require practical experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• We expect experience building HANA CDS views, object-oriented ABAP solutions, OData V2/V4 services, and SAP Fiori applications.
• We require experience integrating SAP with enterprise systems using REST APIs, web services, RFCs, IDocs, proxies, and SAP Integration Suite.
• We need strong debugging, performance tuning, and HANA optimization skills.
• Preferred: experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Preferred: experience with SAP Clean Core development and side-by-side extensibility.
• Preferred: experience supporting full SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration programs.
• Preferred: experience with SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, API Management, or SAP Build.
• Preferred: federal government or public sector SAP implementation experience.
• Preferred: SAP certifications in ABAP Development, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies.

• We design, build, test, and deploy SAP ABAP solutions for SAP S/4HANA implementations and modernization initiatives.
• We develop cloud-ready applications using SAP BTP, RAP, and CAP where applicable.
• We create HANA CDS views, OData services, REST APIs, and Fiori-enabled applications.
• We design integrations between SAP and enterprise applications using APIs, web services, RFCs, IDocs, proxies, and Integration Suite.
• We translate functional needs into technical specifications and scalable solution designs.
• We troubleshoot issues, tune performance, optimize code, and perform root-cause analysis.
• We apply SAP Clean Core principles and modern extensibility approaches.
• We participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders.
• We conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
