Charge Nurse - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15). The schedule includes Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with an alternating week structure.

Job Description

We are seeking a confident and skilled RN to step into a charge nurse role in an inpatient hospital and rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to effectively lead a team of LPNs and CNAs, ensuring high-quality patient care and support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the care provided by LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to best practices and hospital policies.
• Administer medications and manage patient care plans effectively.
• Perform tasks including phlebotomy, IV therapy, and gastric tube feeds as required.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a cooperative and motivated environment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Cerner or other charting systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of inpatient hospital/rehab experience within the last two years.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
• Must have valid RN license at the time of submission.
• NIH certification preferred but can be obtained onsite.
