Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit Facilities Operations has the responsibility of providing a wide range of services to all administrative departments, student programs, and all academic schools and departments. Services include all aspects of corrective and preventive maintenance, operations, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, utility infrastructure maintenance and operations, business operations, safety, regulator compliance, project management, and renovations. These duties are conducted for a campus consisting of 100 buildings totaling 6 million gross square feet on nearly 300 acres. Position Summary This is a skilled position with responsibility to operate, maintain, repair and upgrade as directed the electrical systems on campus. This position also performs hardware and software preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Continually evaluates PM tasks and passes recommendations to PM Coordinator Periodically surveys buildings to identify equipment not on PM program Initiates corrective work orders for major repairs discovered during PM Accomplishes corrective work orders in response to trouble calls Reviews completed work orders for accuracy and resolve discrepancies Reviews status of work orders with supervisor Inspects completed work orders for quality and customer satisfaction Key Responsibility Electrical Installs and Construction Completes electrical work in support of in-house renovation/construction projects.
