Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will support production by minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient facility. Openings are available on 2nd and 3rd shift, with every other weekend work on 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical maintenance on all plant equipment and facilities, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace components on industrial manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to identify issues and determine effective repair strategies.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems, including platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens, to resolve control and automation issues.
• Apply maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste across the facility.
• Respond quickly and effectively to machine downtime events, working with a strong sense of urgency.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and prevent unplanned failures.
• Conduct electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on high-voltage systems, including 480V and 3-phase power.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance, including fabrication, welding, and mechanical repairs as needed.

Essential Skills

• At least 5–7 years of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, including both electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong electro-mechanical maintenance skills, including work on complex industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems, including high-level electrical work up to 480V.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, conveyors, and related components.
• Practical experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and electrical maintenance on industrial equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience performing electro-mechanical maintenance on boxing or corrugated equipment is preferred but not required.
• Experience in fabrication and welding to support mechanical repairs and equipment modifications.
• Experience in maintenance repair work within a warehouse or similar industrial environment.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and documentation practices.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Reading, PA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
