Key Responsibilities\nThe Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks aimed at delivering high-quality mental health care:

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, employing diagnostic tools and interviews to tailor personalized treatment plans for each patient. \n
- Provide therapeutically sound interventions to individuals, couples, and families utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and somatic experiencing. \n
- Lead and facilitate psychoeducational and support groups designed to strengthen community connections and address shared mental health challenges. \n
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure an integrated approach to patient care and treatment. \n
- Respond to mental health emergencies by offering crisis intervention services and immediate support to patients in distress. \n
- Educate patients and their families about mental health concepts, treatment avenues, and local resources to empower them in their journeys toward recovery. \n
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and confidential documentation compliant with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards. \n
- Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to refine counseling techniques and integrate new methodologies. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research developments in mental health therapy to implement innovative practices into clinical work. \n
The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, addressing a wide array of mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. This role calls for empathy, respect for diverse backgrounds, and the ability to build rapport with patients from varying demographics. Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon is mandatory. \n
- In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches is essential. \n
- Demonstrated skill in conducting mental health assessments and crafting effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. \n
- Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy across a spectrum of cultural backgrounds and life experiences. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster a trustworthy and productive therapeutic relationship. \n
- Sound judgment, ethical integrity, and strong adherence to professional boundaries in clinical practice. \n
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications is expected. \n
- A capacity to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. \n

- A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in mental health counseling or related fields is strongly preferred. \n
- Experience working in a community health setting or outpatient psychiatric clinic is a plus. \n
