Field Service Technician

Job Description Job Description Starting Wage : $65,000-$85,0000. Employees can expect a continuous cost of living wage increase per year. Position: Field Service Specialist Hours : 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, Monday-Friday Vacation Time : 15 PTO days which includes personal, vacation, and sick days. The Cities are required by law to conform to all of the laws of the State & Federal Environmental Protection Agencies. The government then provides low-interest loans to cities to pay for the projects. They do this to meet the continuously evolving EPA regulatory requirements. Job Description This occupation is a combination of working on in office Control Panel wiring and test, shop inspections, and traveling onsite to start-up and inspect RDP installed systems. Generally, there will be 2-3 start-up trips per project. Each trip will be one week at a time, Monday- Friday. The training is fairly straightforward. RDP will teach you the specific skills and techniques for the successful completion of each project. Must have some experience with coordination of fieldwork as RDP is the equipment supplier and works closely with the installing contractor. Primarily will be in the shop wiring panels and inspecting equipment. Key Functions of the Job * Start-up, troubleshooting, and coordination for electrical and mechanical components apart of a large process system. 2. Field Wiring Experience 3. Ability to read electrical and detailed mechanical drawings 4. Supervision of contractor installed equipment 5. Confirmation of fabrication dimensions through RDP-designed drawings 6. Coordinating and testing of Panels and field wiring 8. Conducting the on-site Start-Up and Performance Testing 9. Communication skills needed to work through onsite issues between Installing Contractor, Engineer, Municipality, and RDP 10. Experience leading a crew of operators 11. Preferred at least 5 of onsite experience
