Registered Nurse - Pain Management Procedures

Days, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

The Registered Nurse in this role works independently in a clinical setting providing both routine and complex care. The role requires expertise in pain management procedures, pre-operative care, operating room (OR), and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). The RN will continuously develop clinical skills to manage and respond to patient care needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process to assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, monitoring effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate responsibilities as necessary.
• Support patients' complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Active RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
