Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Location: Portland, ME

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing chronic illnesses and disability needs, performing daily physical assessments, administering medications as ordered, and updating care plans weekly. This role requires a commitment to patient safety and advocacy.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily physical assessments and monitor changes in patient status.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure documentation is completed accurately.
• Update and review care planning regularly with the healthcare team.
• Document clinical notes as needed to reflect patient progress and safety.
• Educate patients and families on managing chronic illnesses effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role.
• Current RN license in the state of Maine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
