IT Senior Project Manager - CAD RMS & Vanpool Software

Location: 2312 W. Casino Road, Everett, WA 98204

Contract: Long-Term

Duration: August through March, with potential for extension

Hours: Approximately 40 hours/week


Position Overview


IT Senior Project Manager to support the Enterprise Program Office on multiple technology projects. The primary focus will be managing the implementation of a CAD RMS software system , conducting a vanpool software feasibility study and implementation , and supporting additional IT projects as assigned.


The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Community Transit Enterprise Program Office and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects successfully within scope, schedule, and budget.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the implementation of a CAD RMS software system .
• Manage the vanpool software feasibility study and implementation .
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
• Track project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and timelines.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to leadership.
• Manage project documentation, requirements, action items, and deliverables.
• Coordinate testing, implementation, deployment, and transition activities.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
• Support other Enterprise Program Office initiatives and IT projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in IT Project Management .
• Hands-on project management experience with CAD RMS (Computer-Aided Dispatch / Records Management System) implementations.
• Experience with vanpool software , transportation technology, or related transit systems.
• Strong experience managing software implementation and technology projects.
• Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team management skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing project schedules, risks, issues, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Enterprise Program Office teams.

Work Schedule


Onsite: Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time

Remote: Monday, Thursday, and Friday


The onsite schedule may be adjusted based on project requirements and necessary onsite meetings.


Preferred Background

• Experience working with public transportation or transit agencies .
• Experience with CAD/RMS implementations.
• Experience with vanpool or transportation management software .
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• PMP or other recognized project management certification is a plus.

Ideal Candidate


The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT Project Manager with strong experience managing CAD RMS and transportation/vanpool software projects , excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to successfully lead complex technology implementations in a hybrid work environment.
