Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend; scheduling based on department needs
• Setting: Emergency Department in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Equipment: Baxter pumps and GE monitors

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department setting
• Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity ER preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
• Ability to maintain a professional, patient-focused approach in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC: Within 90 days of hire

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Deliver efficient triage, assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring in a busy Emergency Department
• Support patient flow across all sections of the ER as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, clerks, and the broader healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
• Maintain excellent patient experience standards through respectful communication and frequent updates
• Care for a diverse patient population, including behavioral health holds and acute medical cases
• Document accurately in the electronic health record and follow unit policies and procedures
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, adaptability, and positive impact
