Job Details Location: 100 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, NJ 7936 (Hybrid) Job ID: 64132 Job Category: Engineering Position Type: Contract (6 Months) Shift: 1 Remaining Positions: 1 Responsibilities You will work independently to plan, lead and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In addition, you will plan, lead and coordinate development activities (e.g. product shelf‑life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation, etc.). To provide direction for product development, you will use digital simulation models to obtain, understand and interpret consumer insights and commercial information. In this role, you will create and maintain accurate consumer‑led specifications and be responsible for stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on conclusions made from analysis and interpretation of results. Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in the food industry. Strong technical foundation and a high level of technical curiosity. Ability to handle multiple projects, managing complexity from bench top to plant commercialization. Capability to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and interpret findings. Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Travel up to 20%, largely to California for pilot plant and manufacturing scale‑up. Agile and creative mindset, thinking outside the box. Strong communication and relationship building skills. Technical leadership on cross‑functional project teams, developing technical learning plans and timelines. Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources to solve complex problems with technical rigor.
