Responsibilities Managers lead shifts each week, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, friendly service. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift, maintaining high standards of quality, service, cleanliness, safety, security, and profitability. Tasks include: Planning for each shift Monitoring performance during the shift Taking action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards Monitoring safety, security, and profitability Communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare for a successful shift Meeting targets and helping assigned departments reach their goals Core Responsibilities Food Safety Internal Communication Inventory Management Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness Managing Crew Quality Food Production Exceptional Customer Service Safety and Security Scheduling Training Qualifications Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Must be 18 years or older. Pay and Benefits Certified Shift Manager salary starts at $17 per hour, with a maximum of $26 per hour. If hired without required certifications, starting wage will be based on verifiable work history and adjusted upon completion of required certifications, such as Leadership Transitions Leadership training.
