OB Tech - Night Shift (3x12 Hours)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
We are seeking an experienced OB Tech to work nights in a Level I Birthing Center. The OB Tech will assist in both Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby units. Candidates must have strong surgical skills and be competent in assisting with various procedures including c-sections, tubal ligations, D&Cs, and emergency hysterectomies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in c-sections, tubal ligations, D&C procedures, and emergency hysterectomies.
- Provide support in the Mother/Baby unit.
- Ensure proper infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Perform necessary patient care activities including vital signs and bathing.
- Utilize special equipment such as hearing screening and bilirubin machines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 2 years of OB tech experience is required.
- Successful candidates will have BLS certification; CST preferred.
- Ability to work with low-risk c-sections under a surgeon's guidance.
- Experience in a birthing center or mother-baby care is essential.
