Field Service Engineer

IT Support InternThis is an entry-level IT internship or early-career support position ideal for a candidate who is currently completing, or has recently completed, a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional IT environment while assisting the IT team with day-to-day end-user technology needs.The candidate will help support desktop and office applications, user hardware, software, peripherals, and basic troubleshooting requests. Responsibilities may include assisting with laptop setup, responding to support tickets, helping users both remotely and in person, documenting common issues, and learning standard IT support processes under the guidance of experienced IT staff.This role is a good fit for someone who is interested in building a broad IT foundation and may have a growing interest in areas such as networking, Linux systems, infrastructure support, or system administration.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBS 0-2 Years of experience, or HS 6-8 years of experiencePreferred QualificationsCurrently pursuing, or recently completed, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.Basic understanding of Windows 10/11, desktop support, and common end-user technology issues.Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.General understanding of networking fundamentals, such as Wi-Fi, IP addresses, printers, and basic connectivity troubleshooting.Interest in learning more about networking, Linux, infrastructure, or systems administration.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with end users and IT team members.Willingness to learn, take direction, ask questions, and follow established IT procedures.Positive attitude with the ability to take initiative on assigned tasks and contribute to day-to-day IT support activities.Comfortable assisting with hands-on tasks such as equipment setup, workspace support, cable management, and minor facilities-related support needs.Equal Pay ActThis is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
