Job Title: Harvest Assistant – 1st & 2nd Shift // $19-22/HR

Job Description

The Harvest Assistant on 2nd shift supports production by manually sorting corn, removing defective or unwanted materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, efficient processing, and a safe working environment in a cleanroom production setting.

Responsibilities

• Manually sort corn to remove rogue ears, stalks, husks, trash, and other unwanted materials.
• Separate and discard unusable product and waste into designated chutes.
• Place corn ears that require rework onto the reclaim conveyor for further processing.
• Perform general production tasks to support harvesting, packaging, and packing activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation throughout the shift in a cleanroom environment.
• Sweep and clean the work area thoroughly at the end of the night to meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Follow all production, safety, and quality procedures while working on the line.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues related to product quality or equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with manual sorting in a production or cleanroom environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks such as sorting, discarding, and placing items on conveyors.
• Capability to handle general labor duties including sweeping, cleaning, and basic production tasks.
• Basic familiarity with general production, packaging, and packing processes.
• Reliability to work scheduled hours, including weekdays and weekends.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform continuous manual handling tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in general production or harvesting environments.
• Experience with sorting, packaging, or packing in a manufacturing or food processing facility.
• Comfort working in a structured cleanroom setting with defined procedures and cleanliness standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defective or unwanted materials quickly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Woodhull, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
