CNC Programmer

We are growing and are seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team ! PLEASE READ THE QUALIFICATIONS and ONLY reply if you meet them and have looked and are comfortable with our location (zip 77080) . We are looking for a CNC Programmer that can operate independently. This position will work within the quoting department, and generate rough estimates for quotes and also complete CNC programs for jobs that we are awarded. Qualified Candidates will have extensive experience setting up and programming CNC machines. Must have knowledge of fixtures, tooling, feeds and speeds, and good math skills. We need someone that can take the job from start to finish while being a leader, motivator, and mentor to others. RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately program CNC Mills (3, 4, and 5 axis) and CNC Lathes Be able to Read and understanding complex engineering blueprints. Create 3-D Solid Models / 2-D engineering drawings. Help operators/machinists complete setups. Design work holding and special tooling required to run complex parts. Line up programs, fixturing, and tooling for upcoming jobs. Maintaining a healthy and clean work environment. Follow company procedures while making sure team does thee same. REQUIREMENTS: Extensive knowledge of CNC Programming CAD/CAM systems (GibbsCam, Fusion 360, Solidworks with HSM , or other programming experience a must). Main focus is Fusion 360. If you don’t know Fusion must be willing to learn. Understanding and expert knowledge of engineering blueprints, tolerancing, and GD&T. Expert knowledge of CNC Machining practices/processes. Detail oriented, focused, with ability to lead other team members. At least 5 years’ experience CNC Programming AND machining on 3, 4, and 5 axis milling machines. We do a mix of production work but most of what we do is low volume prototype jobs with very tight tolerances requiring quick turnarounds. Our specialty is in smaller precision parts (no overhead cranes). This is a fast paced environment requiring the ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure. We are a job shop.
