Peach Tree Village Assisted Living is seeking an Recreations Coordinator to join our amazing team. This Recreations / Activities position will coordinate with the Community Development Director to plan and organize recreations / activities that are loved and required by our Elders.

Recreations is a fulfilling role within our community and serves in a heartfelt way to elevate the quality of life of the elders we serve. At Peach Tree Village we understand that listening is an essential part of creating a fulfilling program. Engagement, creativity, and compassion are some of the essential characteristics of our desired Recreations Coordinator. At Peach Tree Village Assisted Living, we honor the opportunity to serve both Assisted Living and Memory Care Elders alike.

You are responsible for supporting the efforts of the Community Development Director in the assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing of activity / recreational services to address the individualized needs and interests of the overall Elder population within the community.

Recreations works closely and interchangeably with other Elder needs to make every experience an enjoyable experience.

Recreations strives to engage both internally and within our community alike. Creating and positive and enjoyable energetic environment is very important. Creativity plays a major part in understanding what recreational functions our elders prefer.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Assists in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote the elders' opportunities for engaging in normal life enhancement pursuits and to increase and/or maintain functioning levels.

• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each elder.

• Encourages elder participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, community/center service activities, recreational activities, etc.

• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma with course work in recreation is desirable but not required depending on experience
• Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc., desired
• Available to work on weekdays and alternating weekends
