We’re hiring a Rolling Stock Fabrication & Repair Specialist in Queens, NY. Bring your welding and mechanical know-how to keep our railcars safe, efficient, and ready for service.
Your impact- Ensure structural integrity through precise welding and fabrication.
- Spot issues early by performing thorough inspections and assessments.
- Restore reliability by repairing brakes, wheels, and couplers.
- Speed problem resolution through close teamwork and clear communication.
- Uphold safety by following established protocols and keeping work areas organized.
- Build traceability by documenting all maintenance and repair activities.
- Elevate quality by adhering to current standards and best practices.
- Use multiple welding processes to repair and fabricate railcar components.
- Diagnose mechanical problems from inspection findings and test results.
- Perform component replacements and adjustments to restore function.
- Record parts, procedures, and results accurately for maintenance history.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding or mechanics is a plus.
- Experience as a welder or mechanic; rail industry background preferred.
- Solid command of welding techniques, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Detail orientation and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Valid driver’s license; able to work flexible hours as required.
This position is based in Queens, NY, supporting a dynamic operations environment that may require flexibility in work hours.
