Energetic Dietary Aide WantedWe are looking for an energetic Dietary Aide to join our growing team! The right candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and be able to provide excellent customer service to our residents.ResponsibilitiesPrepares therapeutic desserts and salads as requiredServes meals in the health center pantriesSets up tables in the health center dining room(s) and breaks them down after the mealsTransports hot and cold foods to and from the health center pantriesTransports all required non-food items to and from the health center pantriesWashes silver, glass, china in dish machines in pantries as per regulationProvides health center snacks and supplements per diet ordersMaintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining roomsSets tables and maintains work stations in proper orderTakes order, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteouslyClears dishes from tables during and after meal serviceAnswers pertinent questions about menu itemsEnsures that orders match Physician’s diet ordersQualificationsAbility to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversionsPrevious experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not requiredAbility to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standardsAbility to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.
