Dental Hygienist – Full Time
Location: Springfield, VA Practice: Sonrisas and Smiles Dental Care Schedule (Fall 2025):
- Tuesdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursdays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Fridays: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Experience: New graduates welcome!
Responsibilities
As a valued member of our team, you will:
- Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, sealants, and fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Collaborate with the dentist and team to ensure optimal patient care
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming clinical environment
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is:
- A licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of Virginia (or able to obtain licensure by start date)
- Open, positive, and flexible in their approach to patient care and teamwork
- Passionate about patient education and preventive care
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Eager to grow professionally—new grads are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications:
- Current dental hygienist license
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
- Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
