Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Charge Capable)

Location

Walla Walla, WA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Block scheduling required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting at a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1 in accordance with unit standards
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity on designated shifts, as well as staff RN on others
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Float within the facility as needed to support staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Washington State or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Demonstrated charge nurse experience in an Emergency Room setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a trauma center environment
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Experience functioning in both charge and staff RN roles within the same unit
