RN Coding Reimbursement Specialist

Position Overview RN Coding Reimbursement Specialist Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80. The hourly rate is based on expertise, experience, and other factors. Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL. Full‑time. Monday‑Friday, 7:00am‑3:30pm. Travel to other Endeavor Health locations may be required. What you will do Charge Review & Validation: analyze charges for services in clinical departments; verify alignment with documentation and ensure proper coding and capture. Identify and resolve discrepancies in charging in collaboration with clinical and billing teams. Clinical Documentation & Charge Reconciliation: collaborate with providers and staff to ensure accurate documentation and perform charge reconciliation per payer guidelines. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: ensure all charges comply with regulations, HIPAA, and internal policies; assist in charge audits for reimbursement and regulatory compliance. Reporting & Data Analysis: notify leadership of trends and improvement opportunities; provide recommendations on charge capture efficiencies and best practices. Collaboration & Communication: serve as liaison between clinical departments, billing teams, and leadership; provide education and training on charge capture, documentation, and compliance. Process Improvement: identify opportunities to streamline charge capture workflows and participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives. What you will need Education: BSN (preferred). Certification: Active RN License in Illinois. Experience: 2+ years in a clinical or revenue‑cycle role with facility charging, coding, and billing experience; experience in ER, Immediate Care, Cancer Center, or Infusion Services preferred. Skills: Knowledge of regulatory requirements for billing and coding; familiarity with CPT codes; strong attention to detail and analytical skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities; proficiency with EHR and billing software; ability to interpret clinical documentation and align it with appropriate charges.
